You know when you’re really wanting to listen to some holiday music but perhaps want something a little different to mix in with the classics? Well, I just discovered the Trekky Yuletide Orchestra, a supergroup made up of bands from the Trekky record label. For the last few years, they’ve hosted Christmas at the Cradle in Carrboro, NC and I had the pleasure of attending it this week. A group of 15 people or more exploded onto the stage, swapping instruments throughout the set and keeping the audience thoroughly engaged and excited. YAY! In addition to enjoying great holiday music, I now know about the awesome bands on the Trekky label, who I’ll surely be listening to this season and into next year, like Embarassing Fruits.
